Highland boxer wins DJ Macphee Memorial Trophy in Inverness show

Highland Boxing Academy held a knockout home show at the Inverness British Legion last Saturday.

A total of 10 bouts were scheduled to take place on the night as HBA fighters took on top boxers from across the country.

One of the highlights of the evening was the performance of Joe Kinsella, boxing his way to a unanimous win against Perth railways Justin Mortin.

His performance on the night saw him awarded the DJ Macphee Memorial Trophy for Best Home boxer.

HBA boxer Cherie Walker was also on sensational form boxing in front of her home support.

She defeated Granite City Boxing Club’s Shelly Macdonald by unanimous decision.

Keigan Mackenzie also impressed during the evening as he produced a relentless performance on his way to recording a unanimous victory against a highly competitive Noah Johnstone from Lochaber Phoenix.
