IT is a big away trip for Highland tomorrow as they travel to Lewis to play Stornoway in a league match that is also a double header with the North Regional Bowl final.

A strong squad will fly up early tomorrow morning for an 11am kick-off at Bayhead. However, head coach Davie Carson will not be able to make the trip as he is recovering from having follow-up surgery due to a ruptured appendix suffered at the beginning of the year.

His coaching team will deputise for a game they are overwhelming favourites for, but as they have been told all season the players will be mindful not to take the home side for granted as Stornoway will want to put up a good fight.

The final weekend of the Six Nations has not stopped the junior section from getting some game time in tomorrow. The under-15s and under-16s have a couple of home friendly matches against Howe of Fife and Caithness respectively, both with 1pm kick-offs

On Sunday, Canal Park will be a very busy place as Highland host their annual mini tournament with sides from all over the north of Scotland taking part. The games will commence around 11am.

Later on at 1pm, both Highland’s under-13s and under-14s play a pair of friendly matches against Perthshire.
