SHINTY: Glenurquhart could go back top of National Division if they beat Inveraray

GLENURQUHART Shinty Club could move top of the National Division if they win at Inveraray on Saturday.

Victory could move the Drumnadrochit outfit one point clear at the top, with leaders Lochaber meeting Kilmallie in the Balliemore Cup final this weekend

In the other National Division match on Saturday, Col Glen are scheduled to take on Fort William at Clachan of Glendaurel.

Kinlochshiel will look to end Kingussie’s hopes of another grand slam when the two teams face each other in the Macaulay Cup semi final at Beauly.

The Wester Ross outfit will look to reach the final of the competition as they attempt to win the trophy for the third time in their history after previous successes in 2016 and 2018.

However, they will need to beat a Kingussie team who currently hold all four major trophies, after completing the grand slam in 2022 and won the MacTavish Cup in June, successfully defending the first of their four trophies.

The winners will face either Glasgow Mid-Argyll or Oban Camanachd who play in the other semi final on Saturday at Mossfield.

One match takes place in the Premiership tomorrow as Kyles Athletic are scheduled to take on Skye.

In North Division One, Inverness are set to travel to league leaders Newtonmore Reserves who are four points clear at the top of the table.

Glengarry will play their first home game since winning the Single Team Club Cup.

They are scheduled to welcome Kingussie to Invergarry.

Glenurquhart are schedule to welcome Lovat to Drumnadrochit and Fort William are set to face Kinlochshiel.

In North Division Two, league leaders Lochcarron will look to take another step towards the title when they face Caberfeidh. Inverness host Lewis at Bught Park and Strathglass host Boleskine,
