Glen trio selected for Scotland

GLENURQUHART'S Stuart MacKintosh, John Barr and Andrew Corrigan have been called up to represent Scotland at this year's Shinty/Hurling Series against their Irish counterparts.

Head coach Drew McNeil has named a 19-man squad for the two games with the Scots travelling to Athy, Co. Kildare, for the first series on Saturday 22nd October.

Both teams will then have a week to rest up before the second series takes place at Bught Park on Saturday 29th October.

“I am really pleased with this year’s squad," said McNeil. "I had some difficult decisions to make during the selection process as there was a high number of talented, committed players available to chose from.

"However, I am confident that we have chosen players who can match the Irish and who can help us lift the International Series Trophy in the second test in Inverness.”

Tickets for the second test are on sale now from the box office at Eden Court.
