Stephen Gertsen is finally achieving his goal of starting a dedicated table tennis club in the Highlands.

After running monthly sessions for most of the year at Inverness Tennis and Squash Club, the ex-Welsh international player and Scottish national team coach is starting weekly sessions at Inverness High School, starting on September 25 at 5pm.

Gertsen has also been involved in some of the secondary schools in the area through Active Schools, but he says that this new club is taking things to the next level.

"There is some stuff going on in some schools, but as a community club there’s nothing," he explained.
