GLENURQUHART’S squad is set to be strengthened by the return of a quartet of players after the side was crushed 6-1 at home against Kyles Athletic last time out.

They head west to take on Kinlochshiel who have been something of a bogey team for them over the years and will relish playing their first ever Premier Division game at Kirkton.

Meanwhile, Lovat play their first match in front of their fans this season when they welcome Bute to Balgate looking to make it three wins from three in their most exciting start to a season in years.

League leaders Newtonmore are in Inveraray where the home side will have Russell MacKinlay making his return to the senior side.

One of the early season surprises has been the erratic form of Kingussie who play Kyles at Tighnabruaich and there will be real fears their struggles could continue against the high flying Argyll-shire side.

In the Marine Harvest Leagues, Division One leaders Beauly are at home to local rivals Strathglass who will be looking for a strong reaction to their heavy defeat in Portree last Saturday.

Beauly’s management team of Steve MacLean and Iain Morrison have tweaked their squad so far and granting their established keeper Martin Davidson’s wish to play an outfield role this season looks to have been a good one and he netted a hat-trick in the reserve match against Caberfeidh last week.

Inverness are in Portree with former Skye player Sorley MacDonald facing his old team mates for the first time.

MacDonald has given hope that he could provide the answer to Inverness’ perennial goal scoring problems. But his promising partnership with James Cameron has come to a temporary halt with Cameron missing the next two games through suspension after his last minute red card against Lochcarron.

Lochaber and Lochcarron meet at Spean Bridge a repeat of the season’s opening match which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The game was rearranged because Lochaber’s scheduled opponents, Caberfeidh, face Fort William in the first round of the MacTavish Cup — a match which has been changed from the original schedule to give Fort players a free day to attend the wedding of club stalwart Neil Robertson next Saturday.
