Fortrose and Rosemarkie golfer wins North Matchplay title at Nairn

ALLAN Cameron was crowned winner at the Scottish Golf North Matchplay final at Nairn Golf Club.

The Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club member defeated Inverness Golf Club member David Joel on the final hole after both players were level after the 17th.

Cameron claimed victory by hitting an eagle at the 18th to lift the Robin Thomson Trophy.

The trophy was presented to him by Scottish Golf president Elizabeth Munro.
