FORT William were edged out of the AJG Parcels North of Scotland Cup when they lost 3-2 at Lossiemouth on Saturday.

It was a thrilling opening tie and Fort blasted back from 3-1 down and were a whisker away from forcing extra-time.

Darren Bailey shot Lossie in front from close range after just seven minutes, but the visitors equalised through Ryan Macleod.

Shawn Scott shot Lossiemouth back in front from 12 yards before adding his side’s third with five minutes to go.

Deep into stoppage time, Matt Ripon scored from a Daniel Mackintosh cross and Fort nearly took the game further when home keeper Errol Watson superbly saved from a Jack Mackay effort to see his team through to the second round.
