SCOTT Davidson has officially left Highland League club Nairn County to sign for Australian outfit Mandurah City.

It has been confirmed that the 29-year-old has joined the club based in Western Australia, subject to international clearance.

Mandurah City confirmed on social media they have signed Davidson and hope to have him available to play a match this weekend in Football West State League Division 1.

Davidson, who came through the Inverness Caledonian Thistle youth academy, played for a number of clubs in the Highland League.

They included Clachnacuddin, Fort William, Rothes and Brora Rangers before joining Nairn County in 2019.

His final game at Nairn County was against Buckie Thistle on September 30.

Speaking about joining Wandurah City, Davidson says he is looking forward to a new challenge.

"The chance to come to Australia is incredibly thrilling, and to play football here is even better.

"I'm eager to meet everyone and hopefully, we can achieve promotion this season after coming so close last year."
