Former Inverness Caley Thistle and Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot signs deal to join Lowland League outfit Open Goal Broomhill

Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Kirk Broadfoot has signed for Open Goal Broomhill.

The 37-year-old has agreed a deal to play for the Lowland League outfit who start their campaign in two weeks time.

Broadfoot played for Caley Thistle last season, helping them reach third place in the Championship and reaching the play-off final before losing to St Johnstone 6–2 on aggregate.

Broadfoot previously played for St Mirren, Rangers, Blackpool, Rotherham United and Kilmarnock before arriving at Inverness.

It was reported League One clubs Dunfermline Athletic and Queen of the South were both interested in signing Broadfoot.

Open Goal Broomhill were previously known as Broomhill and BSC Glasgow and will play their games at Broadwood Stadium at Cumbernauld.
