Ex-Inverness Caledonian Thistle striker George Oakley has found a new club after leaving the Highland capital – and it is one of ICT's Championship rivals.

The 27-year-old has signed an 18-month deal with Greenock Morton, just four days after his departure from Inverness was confirmed.

It was Oakley's second spell with Caley Thistle, adding four goals and 23 appearances to his total in red, blue and black.

Morton are his fourth club in Scotland, having signed for Hamilton Academical after his first spell with the Caley Jags and then moving on to Kilmarnock.

The Cappielow outfit are currently level on points with ICT, one place ahead in the Championship table on goal difference, and Oakley could face his former club in two weeks on February 4.
