MICHAEL Fraser, the ex-Caley Thistle goalkeeper, has joined Ross County on a one-year deal.

The 27-year-old returns to the Highland two years after departing to join Scottish Premier League side Motherwell.

After a year playing for Maltese side Birkirkara, Drumnadrochit-born Fraser will be coming home to more familiar surroundings.

"Michael has made close to 100 appearances in the Scottish Premier League and has experience of playing abroad," said County manager Derek Adams.

"He is now moving back home and is looking forward to joining Ross County.

"He is the third new signing of the summer and I hope to add more players to the squad over the coming weeks".
