Inverness suffered their first defeat of the season as they were blown away by a ruthless performance from Partick at Firhill.

The defeat saw Inverness miss their chance to go top of the table as Partick have gone into pole position in the title race.

Dodds, who took charge last season, says for the first time since he took over at Inverness, his players did not work hard enough during a game.

"For the first time since I've come here, we didn't work hard enough," said Dodds.

"I can't label that at my players very often since i've been at the club.

"Partick Thistle grew in confidence, but we had a helping hand in the goals, we dropped runners, gave away a pass back and a soft penalty.

"We played our part in every one of the goals, but it starts from hard work. If you work hard you will get the rewards.

"We didn't work hard to get the ball and then when we did get the ball we didn't pass it well.

"We weren't near it and I haven't been able to say that too often."
