Jonathon Keith only just missed the course record with a superb 63 including 7 birdies and a solitary bogey at the par 3 9th, closely followed by playing partners Kieran Mackay (66) and Ruairidh Greenwood (68).

Added to his first round 71 this was enough to secure Keith the leading qualifier prize on 134 and he will take on Andy Maxtone of the home club in the round of 16 on Wednesday.

Wednesday sees the start of the matchplay stages with the scratch section starting at 8am. Quarter finals follow in the afternoon with Semis and Finals on Thursday.
