Carson looking for Highland to make a fast start to see off Watsonians in National One fixture

Head coach Dave Carson believes a repeat performance of last week’s defeat to Heriot’s Blues should be enough for Highland against Watsonians tomorrow.

Earlier in the season Watsonians beat Highland in what was a frustrating outing for Carson, coming up two points short.

But three months later he is confident of Highland’s chances at Canal Park.

“We let them start really well, like we did a few times at the start of the season,” Carson recalled.

“They got away and we clawed our way back but just not far enough.

“If we can start the way we did last Saturday I would hope we’ll score two or three tries, because I don’t expect their defence to be as strong as Heriot’s defence was."
