Ex-Inverness Craig Dunain star is English Premiership club's Harlequins player of the season
FORMER Inverness Craig Dunain player Jade-Konkel-Roberts has been named as Harlequins women’s player of the season at the club’s end of season awards.
The Scotland star from Munlochy received the award after helping the London based club to fifth place in the English Premier 15’s.
Speaking about receiving the award, Konkel-Roberts says it was a huge honour.
She said: “I’m extremely honoured to have received this award.
“This team is the epitome of a family to me and it is a privilege to be able to pull on the quarters alongside such an incredible group.”
Konkel-Roberts (29) also helped Scotland to fourth place in the Six Nations with victories against Ireland and Italy and has won 58 caps for her country.
Konkel-Roberts made her Scotland Women debut against England when she came on as a replacement in the opening 2013 Six Nations match.
In 2016, she bcame Scottish Rugby’s first full-time female player in the BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy.
She played for Lille Metropole Rugby Club Villeneuvois in France in 2017 before joining Harlequins.
