ROSS County have completed the signing of former Dundee United midfielder Ryan Dow and he could be pitched in for his Dingwall debut against Motherwell today (Saturday).

The 25-year-old has been training with Jim McIntyre’s Scottish Premiership club over the past few weeks and a deal has been done to keep him here until the end of the season.

Dow was freed by Dundee United at the end of last term when the Tannadice side tumbled out of the top-flight and into the Championship.

A groin injury limited Dow’s appearances to 21 last season and if he can get a run without any knocks could well be a shrewd post-window signing by McIntyre.

County are looking to get back on track against Motherwell at the Global Energy Stadium this afternoon following a 1-0 defeat at Hamilton a fortnight ago.

With leaders Celtic hosting second-placed Rangers at lunchtime, a Staggies win could take them into third spot, with Hearts, just above them, home to Hamilton.

Caley Thistle, who took six points from a possible nine against Aberdeen last term, are looking to score another positive result to move off the foot of the table, while Partick Thistle welcome St Johnstone to Firhill and Dundee are home to Kilmarnock.
