CAMERON Harper says Inverness are more than capable of recording a hat-trick of wins over Kilmarnock on Saturday and ending their five-game winless run in the Championship.

Inverness head to Rugby Park this weekend having already beaten title favourites Kilmarnock twice this season.

They won 1–0 at Kilmarnock back in August through Michael Gardyne’s early goal and also defeated them 1–0 at the Caledonian Stadium last month through Sean Welsh’s strike.

Harper says while the results might not give them a mental edge over Kilmarnock, it certainly gives them confidence they can head to Ayrshire and win all three points.

“Obviously when you are playing teams like that and having beat them twice this season, in our heads we know we can do it when we turn up on the day and do things right.

“It gives us good confidence going into the game knowing we have beat them twice already this season.

“We just have to focus on ourselves and concentrate on those last games against them and hopefully come away with three points.

“It is a big one between two teams near the top, we will do everything in our power to get the three points.

“The last two games have been tight with 1–0 wins, they have good players and it could be a tight game again, but we will fully back ourselves having won the last two times we played them.

“It could be close, but I think we will fancy ourselves.”

Kilmarnock have changed manager with Derek McInnes replacing Tommy Wright and have signed Northern Irish international striker Kyle Lafferty.

Harper says with those changes they could be a different prospect, but doesn’t think they will have anything new that Inverness can’t handle.

“They’ve obviously brought in the new gaffer and Kyle Lafferty who are big names in Scottish football.

“Kyle Lafferty has been different to anything they have had. He will be sharp and obviously his goalscoring record shows that.

“It will be different opposition, but we have to concentrate on our game plan to get the three points.

“It is good to play against such a big name like Kyle Lafferty and when Hearts were in the Championship playing against the likes of Steven Naismith and other players you recognise, it is good to test yourself against them and see where you are.

“But they are still the opposition and you have to concentrate getting the better of them.”

With four draws in their last four games, Harper knows Inverness have missed opportunities, but is confident they can start turning results into wins.

“The last four games have been draws, it is good we are not losing but you want to be winning and putting yourself up there. We want to every game, we need to start turning the draws into wins to get ourselves where we want to be,” he said.
