ANGUS Davren overcame the intimidating presence of a big crowd in Glasgow last weekend to win silver in the indoor Scottish Championships.
The multi-discipline athlete made it to the semi finals in the 60 metres, but did enough to get on to the podium with a second place finish in the high jump.
Inverness Harrier Davren had low expectations going in as it was his first senior competition in the under-20 age group, but he earned a silver medal by clearing 1.88m.
A lack of indoor high jumping facilities in the area means that Davren mostly competes outdoors in the summer months.
One of the key differences between the two formats is the number of spectators.
"The atmosphere is probably a lot different," Davren elaborated.
"It's a bit strange, because you have all these people around you watching you."
