The 2015 winners lifted the title for the second time after defeating 2014 winners Sandy Morrison and George Main 3–1 in the final.

It was Maclean’s third title having previously won with Doug Milne in 2011.

A total of 27 pairs competed in the competition held at the Innes Bar.

The action returns to league duty on Thursday night with two crunch fixtures taking place which could decide the destination of their respective league titles.

In the A League Portland A take on the Seaforth Club at the Keppoch and a drawn match gives the defending champions, Portland, the title whilst a win for the Seaforth will mean a play-off final.

147 Buddies and Clachnaharry are separated by just one point in the C League so it’s an important match for both sides as they meet tonight, with their final fixtures the following week.

Fixtures – A League: Portland A v Seaforth Club, Tarradale v Innes Bar, Battlefield Bullies v Still Game

B League: Innes X v Raigmore, Innes Spikeys v Innes Power

C League: SoBar Pirates v Keppoch Belles, Clachnaharry v 147 Buddies, Raging Storm Raigmore v Canteen.
