Mitch Curry says he is looking forward to the challenge of cementing a regular first team place during loan spell at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The 19-year-old forward has arrived at the Caledonian Stadium from English Championship club Middlesbrough for an initial six-month deal.

Having played for Middlesbrough's under-23 side and having joined Harrogate Town on loan, last season Curry's playing time on the pitch was halted by injury.

Now he has come to Inverness hoping that he gain valuable experience of playing first team football in the club's drive for promotion back to the top flight.

"I haven't set any targets, I just want to get as many minutes as possible," he said.

"I haven't played loads in the last couple of years so I want to play as many minutes and get as many goals as possible to help the team.

"It will be a new challenge compared to playing under-23 football and hopefully I can kick on in our push. It will be a good learning curve to be in with the first team lads."
