Golfers will be taking part in the event at Inverness Golf Club which runs from Monday, July 3 to Thursday, July 6.

Tournament chairman Barry Gunn says final preparations are being made to welcome players from across the area and beyond to Culcabock.

He said: "With less than two weeks to go, the course is looking in fantastic condition for the return of the Four Day Open.

"Thanks to the generous support from a number of sponsors we are able to offer a fantastic prize fund with a main scratch prize of

£500 and section prizes of £300.

"We have just published the competitor’s brochure and draw for the first two rounds and there are still spaces available for anyone looking for a last minute entry."

Entries are still available via the club website at: www.brsgolf.com/inverness/opens_home.php

On Tuesday July 4, club professional Mel Douglas will be hosting a qualifier for the Scottish Putting Championships with the winner progressing to the National finals and a chance to collect the £2500 first prize.
