All eyes were on the game at Harmsworth Park in the Highland League Under-18 North this weekend, as Clachnacuddin overcame league rivals Wick Academy in a fiercely contested match to keep their title challenge on track with a 3–2 win.

Cameron Neville netted on 11 minutes to give the Lilywhites an early lead, but a William Cannop penalty just before the half hour mark cancelled the advantage. It was Wick who finished the first half in front, Conor Farquhar finding the net three minutes before the interval.

Academy held their lead for most of the second half, but a late show from the away team turned the game on its head. With just 10 minutes remaining, Robert Urquhart brought the scores level with a good goal, and just two minutes later Clach had the lead through Max Morrison, a goal that would ultimately claim them all three points.

The game between Nairn County and Highland League Under-18 North league leaders Alness United was over as a contest by half time, with the visitors scoring three goals without reply in a 4–1 win.

Evan Hamilton opened the scoring on 18 minutes before Kyle Grant doubled the Alness advantage two minutes later. Any hope Nairn had of a comeback were dashed when Aaron Grant made it three.

A quieter second half saw Alness extend their lead through Magnus Hengstrand, before County’s Callum Hepburn grabbed a late consolation on 86 minutes.

St Duthus conceded three goals inside half an hour in their home game against Buckie Thistle. A defensive error allowed Logan Mill to open the scoring on 18 minutes, but Saints pulled a goal back through Ben Loy.

A clip just inside the box resulted in a Thistle penalty on 27 minutes which was scored by Scott Smith, before Mill netted again just three minutes later to leave the home side with a lot of work to do. St Duthus reduced the deficit from an Alex Mackenzie set piece, but Mill completed his hat-trick to make it 4–2.

Ullapool trounced visitors Lossiemouth as goals from Louis Sears (4), Shaun Marshall (3), Calum MacKenzie and Fin Crook compounded the Coasters to a 9–1 defeat.
