Goals from Liam Taylor and James Anderson secured the Lilywhites' second league win of the season.

Taylor headed home from a corner to give his side a half-time lead. Martin MacKinnon produced a good save to keep out a header from James Leslie a minute before the break.

The home side were reduced to 10 men three minutes into the second half when Leslie was shown a second yellow card for throwing the ball away after a free kick was awarded against his side.

Lossie briefly rallied and Clach were forced to defend for a spell, however, MacKinnon was rarely troubled.

Anderson rattled the bar with a great effort in the 68th minute before Taylor missed from close range after 74 minutes.

However, Clach wrapped up the points eight minutes from time when sub Connor Bunce's shot was deflected into the path of Anderson who tapped home from close range.

Clach boss Macdonald said: "I am absolutely delighted. We are creating chances and delighted with the effort and commitment we are getting off everyone, and we are playing football as well.

"It should have been more, I don't think anyone could disagree with that but we have kept our first clean sheet of the season so I am delighted for the team and the goalkeeper.

"We lost our composure for 15 minutes in the second half after the sending off but the game should have been out of sight by then.

"We want our boys to go and express themselves and my boys are enjoying themselves and playing with a smile on their faces.

Looking ahead to the weekend, MacDonald added: "Turriff will be looking at us and saying to themselves 'we can go to Clach and win'. If we are at it, we know we can give anyone a game."
