Clachnacuddin optimistic over Grant Street Park return soon after fire

Manager Sandy McLeod says the club are hopeful that Clachnacuddin can return to Grant Street Park for the next match against Formartine United on Wednesday.

The Lilywhites have been homeless since a fire broke out at the stadium causing significant damage to the kit room and dressing room on Christmas Eve.

While playing home matches at their temporary home of Canal Park, work has been going on to repair damage and install temporary accommodation at Grant Street to allow matches to be played.

McLeod says players want to return to Merkinch and are hoping they get the green light to do so.

“Everyone is looking forward to getting back,” he said.

“The team wants to play at home again and if we can that will definitely give the squad a massive boost."
