Clachnacuddin footballer Martin Callum will donate all of the proceeds from his testimonial towards Highland mental health charity Mikeysline.

The Lilywhites midfielder, who was awarded a testimonial when signing a new contract last May, is the current club captain at Grant Street Park and joined the club in 2011.

Usually, money raised by testimonial events would be given directly to the player as a show of appreciation for their efforts over a long-term period, but Callum has pledged to give 100 per cent of the funds to Mikeysline instead.

Callum’s testimonial match will see Clachnacuddin host Elgin City at Grant Street on the evening of Wednesday, April 17.

Mikeysline was founded in 2015 and provides support for those struggling with mental health issues - including footballers and young men, with suicide the most common cause of death for men under 40 years old.
