Clachnacuddin have completed the permanent signing of defender Ben Cormack from League Two outfit Elgin City.

The 19-year-old centre back has spent the last two years on loan at Grant Street Park, but has now signed for the Lilywhites permanently on a two-year contract.

That means he will ply his trade in the Highland capital until at least the summer of 2026.

Cormack started at the back in Wednesday night’s 4-2 home defeat to Inverurie Locos, which left Clach with two more matches to play before the end of the Highland League season.

Manager Conor Gethins commented on the move, telling Clach’s social media channels: "This is Ben's third year at the club and he knows the club inside out.

“He is a big part of our plans going forward and at a very young age has gained valuable experience. Being so young, in two years he will be 21 with potentially another 40-plus games under his belt.

“We feel he will mature into a very, very good Highland League defender, we will give him the best platform and help that he needs to achieve this."
