CLACH have scored the ideal summer boost after agreeing a five-figure sponsorship with its main sponsor.

The Highland League club, based in Inverness, has confirmed that the Orion Group, which is Scotland’s largest manpower provider, has extended its community backing for a sixth successive season.

The deal will see Orion Group, which is headquartered in Inverness, continue its position as main sponsor into the 2016/17 campaign.

The firm, which has 57 offices around the world, specialises in providing contract and permanent staff to a number of industry sectors and has 3500 personnel in the UK and 1500 worldwide at any one time.

New Clach chairman Alex Chisholm said: "I’m delighted Orion have agreed to support the club for a further season. Orion has been associated with the club for a number of years and I’m delighted they are continuing their association with us. The company and its employees have supported the team week in week out and this is very much appreciated by us all.

"Clachnacuddin FC has a proud history that stretches back over 100 years and its important financial support like this that helps the club to grow and develop in what are challenging economic times."

Alan Savage, chairman of Orion Group, said: "We are delighted to continue our relationship with the Lilywhites, a club that is such a big influence through the city. We hope the deal will further support the club and their new chairman Alex Chisholm as they continue with their development plans both on and off the field.

"Orion has a long tradition of investing in local sports teams and community projects. The side has a fantastic youth development programme which we’ve long admired. We hope the sponsorship will allow them to grow their already exciting youth programme."

"The side has had a challenging season in a very competitive league however we hope we can offer further support off the field next season as we look to support a number of improvements to the grounds facilities and infrastructure, something that will not only benefit the club but also the travelling teams visiting the ground at Grant Street and the local community."
