CALEY Thistle star Ryan Christie looks set to complete his move to Scottish champions Celtic.

The Highland club have released a statement about their star asset, which said: "As a result of a further approach from Celtic, and following discussions with the management team and the player, the board of Inverness Caledonian Thistle can confirm that Ryan Christie has been given leave to travel to Glasgow to discuss personal terms."

Ronny Deila's side are keen to land the Scotland under-21 ace and a bid around the £500,000 mark, coupled with the player being loaned back to Inverness for this season, seem to have been accepted by ICT.

Christie would be following in the footsteps of his dad, ICT legend Charlie, who also left the Highlands to join Celtic.

The transfer window closes tomorrow at 6pm.
