Aidan Lennan followed up his world championship titles in Italy with three more gold medals at the WAKO Bristol Open last weekend.
The Bristol Open is the most prestigious international tournament to be held in the UK, and 15-year-old Lennan was a hot favourite after becoming world champion in the kick light and light contact categories in Jesolo, Italy.
In Bristol, he continued his winning ways by triumphing in the under-57kg and under-63kg categories in light continuous action.
Then, he was able to battle the WAKO world champion in point fighting, and triumphed to claim a hat trick of gold medals.
Younger brother Ciaran was less fortunate in his bid for glory, as an injury denied him the chance to win gold at the first opportunity.
He was actually leading in his light contact semi final, but had to pull out after hurting his ankle, being forced to settle for bronze.
However, after resting up as best he could, Ciaran came back the next day to compete in the points discipline.
There, the youngster made it through to the final, coming away with a silver medal to show for his efforts.
Both Lennan brothers train with Mitchell Flett at Highland Martial Arts Centre and Amanda Croall at Highland Elite Sports Academy, having formerly been at Raijin Martial Arts Academy.
They also travel down to Edinburgh to train with Wolfpack Martial Arts under Kevin Baldwin, and occasionally attend WAKO Great Britain training camps with the best kickboxers of their ages.
