Prior to the bowling finals, the club president Bob Ferenth and the match secretary John Levey presented a cheque for £300 to Annie Stewart of Keeping Nairnshire Colourful.

These funds were raised during the Charity Shield competition that was run earlier in the season. Over the 2023 season, the club raised a total of £810 for local charities and good causes.

The funds were donated to Keeping Nairnshire Colourful and the victims of the Harbour Street Fire.

Ferenth says it has been a successful season for the club.

He said: “The season has been another excellent year for the club, further increasing it strong membership and attracting additional local business support. There seems to be a growing interest in the sport as it is truly multi-generational which creates an excellent sense of community spirit.”
