Callum marks his return with a goal

Brian Macleod praised Martin Callum for his fairytale comeback by scoring the winning goal in his first game in more than two years.

The midfielder, who had not played since 2016 due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, scored in the 89th minute in the 1-0 win over Buckie Thistle.

The Clach manager said for the 30-year-old to come off the bench and prove to be the difference was an incredible story.

“You couldn’t write it,” he said.

“To be out for two-and-a-half years with such a serious injury and to work so hard to get back."
