Inverness Caley Thistle's under-16 girls win North League Cup final against local rivals Ross County at Station Park in Nairn

Inverness Caledonian Thistle's under-16 girls will be celebrating tonight after they lifted the North League Cup.

The Caley Jags were up against fierce rivals Ross County in the final, held at Nairn County's Station Park, and ran out fairly comfortable winners in the end.

Taking an early lead, two goals at the end of the first half put Inverness in the driving seat, before a fourth after the restart practically put the result beyond doubt.

Ross County did get one back towards the end, but it proved to be no more than a consolation as the final whistle went to give Caley Thistle silverware in their first season in the Aberdeenshire leagues.
