Inverness Caledonian Thistle's winless run in the Scottish Championship stretched to five matches after throwing away the lead to fall to defeat against Queen's Park at Stenhousemuir.

Billy Mckay's first half strike put Inverness in the lead, but Charlie Fox equalised five minutes after the break before Scott Murray's strike gave Queen's Park all three points.

Caley Thistle have not won a league match since beating Cove Rangers on October 15th, as they lie in sixth place in the Championship.

They remain six points behind league leaders Ayr United after they beat Hamilton Academical 3-2 last night.

Inverness broke the deadlock after 15 minutes when Sean Welsh's long ball from midfield found Mckay who from 12-yards-out battered the ball into the bottom left corner of the net.

Queen's Park should have equalised minutes later when Dominic Thomas's cross from the right wing finds Jake Davidson unchallenged on the edge of the six-yard box, but fired wide.

However the hosts did level five minutes into the second half, when Fox managed to leap above the Inverness defence to nod home a corner from close range.

Queen's Park should have taken the lead midway through the second half when Patrick Jarrett was allowed to surge into the box and his shot beat the goalkeeper but smashed against the left post.

But they deservedly went in front when Grant Savoury's cross from the left wing evaded the Inverness defence in the penalty box and found Murray to tap home from close range for the winner.
