Inverness Caley Thistle run riot as they hit double figures in Highlands and Islands League against Brora Rangers

INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle Development showed no mercy against Brora Rangers in the Highlands and Islands League as they romped to a 13-0 victory at North Kessock on Sunday.

The league champions wasted no time getting on the scoresheet as Lauren Doherty opened their account in less than a minute.

Simone Coles doubled their advantage in the 11th minute before Docherty went on to complete her hat trick with only 21 minutes played.

Kachiise Cavanagh then found the net as she made it 5-0 before Coles and Doherty found the net to give ICT Development a 7-0 lead at half-time at Ferry Brae Park.

They continued to pile on the pressure in the second half with Doherty adding another two goals to make it 9-0.

Mairi Macfarlane then made it 10-0 with her debut goal, before going on to claim the day’s other hat-trick.

A late goal from Doherty made it seven on the day for her to make it 13-0 in a comprehensive win for the champions. The win moves them to third place one point behind leaders Clachnacuddin.

Meanwhile, Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women suffered their third defeat of the Championship campaign when they went down to Greenock Morton 2-1 at Millburn Academy.

The defeat sees them fall to sixth in the eight-team league.
