Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder will play no further part this season after injury at Dundee United
Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Nathan Shaw is out for the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury against Dundee United last Saturday.
The 23-year-old was taken off midway through the first half after aggravating his existing hamstring injury at Tannadice.
Manager Duncan Ferguson confirmed yesterday that Shaw will play no further part this season and will likely require an operation which could rule him out longer.
Ferguson said before last week’s game against Dundee United that he took a gamble playing Shaw given his existing injury.
Now as they prepare to head to Partick Thistle tomorrow, he confirmed that Shaw will play no further part this season.
He said: “We have lost Nathan Shaw as we took a chance on him last week with his hamstring.
“He has pulled his hamstring even worse and will possibly be going for an operation.
“He is definitely out for the rest of the season and possibly longer.”
Inverness are confident that Morgan Boyes will be in contention for selection tomorrow, with Luis Longstaff and Nikola Ujdur getting closer to regaining fitness.
