Inverness Caley Thistle Women kicked out of SWF Championship and League One Cup after fielding an ineligible player in quarter final clash against Dryburgh Athletic in Dundee

Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women have been kicked out of the SWF Championship and League One Cup after fielding an ineligible player in their quarter final clash against Dryburgh Athletic.

The club have been fined and sanctioned by Scottish Women's Football after it was discovered they fielded a player who took part in another senior cup competition for another team.

Inverness won the quarter final match 2-0, but as a result of the rule breach, Dryburgh Athletic have been awarded a 3-0 win and progress to the semi finals of the competition.

Caley Thistle have also been fined £100 as a result of the rule breach.
