The attacking midfielder's sending off for diving in the 2–1 Challenge Cup semi final win over Rangers Colts has caused major controversy.

Referee Greg Aitken gave Keatings a second yellow card after ruling he was guilty of simulation.

Caley Thistle appealed the decision stating television evidence proved that he was body checked by defender Ciaran Dickson.

However, the appeal was rejected by the judicial panel at Hampden yesterday afternoon.

The decision was met with disbelief by Caley Thistle as well as official from other clubs and online.

Now Caley Thistle fans have launched a petition to get Keatings' second yellow card quashed so he can play in the Challenge Cup final against Raith Rovers on Saturday, March 28.

The petition can be viewed here.
