Inverness Caledonian Thistle coach Barry Wilson says the club face a tough decision on whether to keep Cammy Mackay as first choice goalkeeper or bring back Mark Ridgers for tomorrow’s clash at Raith Rovers.

Cammy Mackay has played in the last four games.
Cammy Mackay has played in the last four games.

Mackay kept his place in the first team in last Saturday’s 3–0 win over Arbroath, with Ridgers on the bench after returning from injury.

Mackay has been the goalkeeper for Inverness in their last four matches and Wilson says they have been impressed by his performances.

He says head coach Billy Dodds faces a tough decision who to put in between the sticks for tomorrow’s clash at Stark’s Park.

“Cammy has been great and we couldn’t fault him for any of the goals he’s conceded,” said Wilson.

“He has made big saves at crucial times.

“On Saturday, even though he wasn’t called upon too often, his distribution was good.

“He has worked so hard in training for so long and he deserves his chance.

“It’s great we have two such good goalkeepers. “Cammy has pushed Mark hard for the last couple of years and Cammy has got in and kept his place last week, but I’m not giving away anything for Saturday.”

Wilson added: “In training, they have both been fantastic.

“It is a tough decision for us to leave one of them out because they have both shown they are top-class goalkeepers.”

Inverness head to Kirkcaldy aiming to stay in the play-off zone, with Raith only one point behind in fifth.

Midfielder Roddy MacGregor has returned to light training and Wilson hopes it won’t be long before he is available for selection.

“Roddy is back on the training pitch, although not in full training yet. It is all about getting that quad strengthened. We will rest him this weekend and hopefully get him back involved properly in training next week.”
