CALEY Thistle have completed the signing of Congolese midfielder Andrea Mbuyi-Mutombo on a one-year deal.

Mbuyi-Mutombo had been on trial with the club and featured in the 1-0 pre-season victory over Nairn County.

The deal was completed today and the 25-year-old will be in contention for a place against Motherwell on Saturday.

Portsmouth, Standard Liege and Cercle Brugge are among his former clubs, while he has also spent time in Croatia with Rijeka and NK Istra. He spent the tail end of last season at French third tier side Étoile Fréjus Saint-Raphaël.

Mbuyi-Mutombo becomes the fifth summer signing for the Caley Jags, following the additions of Nat Wedderburn, Jordan Roberts, Dani Lopez and Owain Fon Williams.

See tomorrow's Inverness Courier for Andrea Mutombo's first interview as a Caley Thistle player.
