Inverness Caledonian Thistle secured their place in the play-off as they came from behind to beat Kilmarnock.

Ash Taylor scored his second goal of the season to give Kilmarnock the lead on the hour mark.

But Caley Thistle levelled with 14 minutes remaining as Billy Mckay found the net from close range.

Logan Chalmers then scored the winner eight minutes from time to secure all three points.

Inverness are now 10 points ahead of fifth placed Raith Rovers with only three games remaining and will continue beyond the regular season.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle made three changes to the team that drew 2–2 with Ayr United.

Mark Ridgers came back in goal replacing Cammy Mackay.

David Carson and Aaron Doran were also on the bench with Austin Samuels and Daniel Devine in the starting line-up.

Kilmarnock started the game brightly and came close to finding the target in the opening few minutes when Fraser Murray cut back for Blair Alston who shot wide of the right post.

Kyle Lafferty had the ball in the back of the net after 10 minutes when he ran on to a Oli Shaw's through ball but was ruled offside.

Inverness's first chance came midway through the first half when Kirk Broadfoot played through Logan Chalmers who was clear through on goal but hit the side netting.

Austin Samuels also came close to scoring from close range when the ball fell kindly to him, but Chris Stokes blocked his shot with a sliding tackle to clear from danger.

Kilmarnock started brightly in the second half and came close when Shaw's cross into the box found Murray, whose shot was cleared by Robbie Deas.

Inverness responded when Chalmers tested Zach Hemming from 25-yards out as he connected with a Wallace Duffy pass and forced the Killie defender to parry out for a corner kick.

Kirk Broadfoot also fancied his chances from long range forcing Hemming to parry the ball out for a corner as Inverness enjoyed their best period of pressure.

But Kilmarnock broke the deadlock on the hour mark, when Broadfoot failed to clear Chris Stokes's header and the ball fell kindly for Taylor who lobbed Ridgers in the box and the ball fell into the net.

But Inverness levelled with 14 minutes remaining when Austin Samuels cross into the box was flicked on by Aaron Doran to find Mckay who hammered the ball into the net.
