We believe.

That is the message from John Robertson who says Inverness Caledonian Thistle can beat Hearts and reach the Scottish Cup final.

The manager will lead his team out at Hampden as underdogs against the Edinburgh club in tomorrow’s semi final.

Despite being in a division below Craig Levein’s men, Robertson says his team have the quality to cause a massive shock at the national stadium to face either Aberdeen or Celtic in May.

“We have to believe,” he said.

“Do I believe they can play the football to cause Hearts problems? Yes. Are we going to have to scrap? Yes.

“I have got to believe it because if I don’t believe it then how can I expect my players and the fans to believe it?

“We have got a good opportunity but we are going to have to play well and defend well because Hearts are a good side.”

Inverness still have four men from the team that won the Scottish Cup in 2015 including Aaron Doran, Liam Polworth, Carl Tremarco and Ryan Esson.

Robertson says the success of 2015 is still fresh in the memory of those players and the current squad are desperate to replicate the success of four years ago.
