Inverness Caledonian Thistle picked up their second win of the Championship campaign after beating Raith Rovers at Stark's Park.

Scott Allardice's penalty on the hour mark and Billy Mckay's injury time strike gave Inverness a deserved victory in Kirkcaldy

Inverness made three changes to the team that were hammered 4–0 by Motherwell in the Premier Sports Cup last 16.

Roddy MacGregor was out injured with Billy Mckay and Nathan Shaw both dropped to the bench.

George Oakley, Zak Delaney and Steven Boyd were all brought into the starting line up.

After a quiet start to the match, Inverness had a golden opportunity to take the lead midway through the first half.

Zak Delaney did well to charge into the box and his cross ricocheted back to Daniel Mackay who fired wide from 12 yards.

Jamie Gullan nearly caught goalkeeper Mark Ridgers flatfooted when he tried an audacious effort from 30 yards which went wide of the right post.

Raith piled on the pressure and almost took the lead six minutes before half time.

Ridgers had to be at full stretch to deny Dylan Easton's thunderous drive finding the top right corner of the net as both teams went into the break goalless.

But Inverness took the lead on the hour mark when a charging Daniel Mackay was brought down in the box by a sliding Ross Millen challenge.

Allardice fired straight down the middle as Jamie Macdonald could only watch in agony as he dived to his left.

Inverness then secured victory in injury time when Daniel Mackay's cross from the right wing found Billy Mckay unchallenged in the box who fired home from 12 yards.
