Inverness Caledonian Thistle have confirmed their third loan signing of the transfer window as Joe Hardy has joined the club from Accrington Stanley.

The 23-year-old striker originally came through the youth ranks at Tranmere Rovers before getting snapped up at 14 by Manchester City. After a five-year stint in their academy where he was prolific at youth level, he then joined Brentford's set up where he was named the Bees' B-team players' player of the year in 2018-19 and scored 40 goals in 80 appearances in two and-a-half years.

In January 2020 he made the switch to Liverpool where he featured for their under-23 side in the Premier League Two, and he made his professional debut as a substitute in a FA Cup replay victory over Shrewsbury Town at Anfield.

Last summer Hardy signed a two-year deal with Accrington Stanley, but picked up a calf injury in pre-season and only returned to training in late-November, struggling to break into the first team since.
