RICHIE Foran is urging Caley Thistle fans not to panic as he goes the distance to add quality to his ranks at the Scottish Premiership club.

The Inverness CT manager is settling in well to hot-seat since replacing John Hughes in May and is working hard to bring in the right type of player who will be pressing hard for a place in his starting 11.

So far he has brought in winger Jake Mulraney from QPR, striker Scott Boden from Newport County, ex-Scotland, Aberdeen, Wigan and Cardiff defender Kevin McNaughton and secured Hearts midfielder Billy King on a 12-month deal. He is looking for more, but won’t panic buy.

Foran explained: “ We are taking our time. It’s hard work in the office to find and identify the right player, speaking to them and their team-mates and coaches to get background information, what they are like on and off the park. It’s about watching them in pre-season games, flying down to England or Ireland for example.

“There is a lot of work outside of the training ground so we can bring in quality. We are not looking for squad players. We are looking for lads to go straight into the starting 11. There are two or three more to come. There’s no panic."
