Bowls club in Inverness to discuss rolling back into action

INVERNESS Bowling Club will decide next week if it will reopen its lawn green for play again.

The Scottish Government lifted restrictions yesterday on bowls being played, as well angling, golf and tennis, as part of the first phase of coming out of lockdown.

A number of clubs across the Highlands have announced they will be staying closed until further phases are released by the Scottish Government, and the public health situation improves.

Inverness Bowling Club president Matthew Sloggie says they would not be making an immediate decision until the Scottish Government officially announced the green light.

But he said they would also wait until next week before making a final decision.
