CLACHNACUDDIN manager Jordan Macdonald says his team are not learning from their mistakes as they suffered a disappointing 1–0 defeat to Keith in Merkinch.

The Lilywhites created a number of chances to score at Grant Street Park on Saturday but were not able to put any of them into the net.

They were made to pay for their lack of efficiency in front of goal in the 79th minute when Matty Tough was allowed a free header to score and give them all three points.

Macdonald says it was a frustrating afternoon and it was not the first time this season where their lack of cutting edge has let them down.

“Not in the performance or the chances created, but the way we lost the game was disappointing.

“It was a game we should not have lost and dominated for large spells, but if you don’t take your chances then you put yourself in a situation where you can be hit.

“Unfortunately we did get hit and we ended up losing the game.

“It is not the first time this season, it seems to be the same mistakes and we do not seem to be learning from them.

“If it is one of those days where you think you are not going to score, then you need to make sure that you don’t lose it and we didn’t do that.

“Keith’s deliveries were brilliant all day but at the end of the day we gave them a free header in the six-yard box and we can’t allow that to happen.”

Clachnacuddin also had some injury concerns after the defeat to Keith as they now prepare to head to Deveronvale on Saturday.

Jamie Calder pulled his hamstring which is likely to keep him out for several weeks.

Winger Ross Logan is also a major doubt for the trip to Banff on Saturday after he also sustained an injury.

Harry Nicolson, who was missing last weekend, should be in a position to return to the squad this weekend.

Macdonald says there are no current plans at Clach to bring in new players into the squad this month but is not ruling out doing so.
