Big wait for make-or-break Lovat match

LOVAT face the prospect of taking to the field for their vital relegation clash at Kilmallie after a six-week break.

Fans were left disappointed when the clash was postponed on Saturday after Kilmallie’s Canal Parks pitch failed an early morning inspection.

The match has been rescheduled for 24th September — Lovat’s last competitive match was on 13th August.

It also means that their three-match schedule to complete the campaign will run into October, by which time pitches will almost certainly have deteriorated and further postponements will become more likely.
