HIGHLAND’S first-team will be anxiously awaiting the results of tomorrow’s Caledonia Regional League Division One fixtures to see if their hopes of avoiding relegation remain alive.
There is, however, still an unknown factor with promotions and relegations in the regional system means they are adjusted to balance the area leagues, which could either be beneficial or detrimental to the Greens
Meanwhile, the city club’s junior section have a busy weekend of it, starting with the under-18s who face Stirling County at Canal Park (kick-off 1pm) in the Caledonia Champions League.
After two wins over Kirkcaldy, Highland just need to win this match to make sure of the title.
The under-16s are also in Champions League action on Sunday as they travel to Dunfermline, while the under-15s have a home match in the semi-finals of the Caledonia Cup against Aberdeen Grammar and this is the team to beat being unbeaten in the league.
Aberdeen Grammar provide the opposition for both Highland’s under-13 and under-14 teams, who make the trip through to the Granite City.
Highland’s mini squads have another festival on Sunday in Moray, while the micros are at Canal Park for their usual training session at 11am.
