Anniversaries for 15 Club and Ice Centre

Both the Inverness Ice Centre and the 15 Club’s curlers are celebrating 50th anniversaries this year.

The 15 Club is understood to be one of the first curling teams to have formed when the centre opened in 1968 and they are still playing at the venue today.

Some things have changed though, as Inverness Ice Centre became a charitable organisation after it was bought by its users in 2002.

And following a major upgrade, it is now one of the largest wet weather facilities in the north.
